The compound lever system with multiple pivot points and moving parts increases the force applied to the blades.
This will allow you to tackle heavy duty pruning jobs without fatigue in arms and shoulders!
The handles of this pruner have a soft grip handle cover for increased comfort and optimum performance.
This lopper is 30-Inch long! Lopper length affects the amount of leverage you have – longer loppers give you more leverage, making it easier to cut through thicker branches.
Anvil lopper have one straight blade that cuts as it closes onto a flat edge or ‘anvil’ (think about it like a knife on a chopping board). These are best used on dead wood or to trim back live wood before making a final, clean cut with bypass loppers. Because of their design, they can often cut thicker branches than bypass loppers.

Bought one for myself a while back. Loaned it to my neighbor who absolutely couldn't believe the ease cutting large branches...bought another as a gift to my neighbor....
Yesterday I was helping my neighbor trim back his azaleas which had not been trimmed for several years. I started out using my gas-powered hedge trimmers and a set of bypass type of pruning shears for the bigger branches. He has a pair of the GG12A compound loppers which I got to use and they were great. The best shears I have ever used and by this day's end, I will have a set of the Tabor compound anvil loppers on order. Tring is believing.
Got to use it today at the farm; what a smooth working and great cutting tool.
It’s has great balance and is very easy to use..
Looking forward to many years of use, Thank You..
This seems to be a good lopper. I cut up and pile brush for fire mitigation purposes in Colorado and a large percentage of the material is dead. Don't use bypass loppers on dead material. It will quickly destroy them. I really can't see any purpose at all for bypass loppers as anvil loppers can be used for both dead and live material. These anvil loppers from Tabor Tools work well and have the advantage of a simple but efficient design. I'd recommend them highly.
